Smokey the Whitefish

There is no trip to the city (THE city, New York City) worth taking without some sort of culinary adventure-treat included. And no place like the Lower East Side for deli. The sights, the sounds, the smells, the slush (ok, it was January, and following another record snow). When not sinking into the corner quagmires, we took in the pastrami and cole slaw.

You're thinking "Alfalfa," but you'd be way off base! This fellow was a member of the Bonnot Gang, French Anarchists who prided themselves on using new technology to commit crimes (automobiles and repeating rifles were favorites). So, the next time you watch "The Little Rascals," think twice...
